Job summary

Qualifications

• Two to four years of trade school or work experience or apprenticeship.
• Ability to read fairly complicated blue prints and follow routine clerical procedures.
• Ability to analyze and plan a sequence of operations with standard methods.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose why machines malfunction and determine repair needs.
• Dismantle equipment to inspect parts for defects.
• Replace defective parts with new or repaired parts.
• Assemble and test-run machines to verify repairs.
• Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment.
• Assemble and weld auxiliary pieces as required.
• Burn to remove components as required.
• Inspect finished parts to verify repairs and maintain SPC charts.
• Coordinate with coworkers and supervisor to receive instructions.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Perform PMs as assigned.
