Job summary

Aurora Sewing Center is seeking a locally-based Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and test sewing and embroidery machines. You will work with precision mechanical parts, motors, gears, and electronic controls, using manuals and diagnostic tools.

• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read service information are required.
• Willingness to learn and no sewing machine experience needed.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, maintain, and test sewing and embroidery machines.
• Use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, service manuals and problem solving to restore machines.
• Work with precision mechanical components, motors, gears, controls, circuit boards, and computerized machines.
