Job summary

Okuma America Corporation seeks an Options Installation Technician to install electrical and mechanical machine options and ensure customer requirements are met. You will interpret schematics, diagnose issues, and perform safety‑driven installations in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include quality verification, use of cranes and forklifts, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to maintain timelines while supporting process improvements and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience focusing on electrical assembly/installation or machine building.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints and technical docs.
• Willingness to operate hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical and mechanical options on Okuma-built machines to meet customer requirements and specifications.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to support installation and assembly activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software systems.
• Verify completed installations and perform quality checks to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, precision measuring equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to identify solutions and maintain project timelines.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment while adhering to all company policies and safety practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned and proactively seek opportunities to improve processes and add value.
