Job summary

The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator Level C to operate various machinery, maintaining dimensional tolerances and optimizing feeds and speeds for best cutting conditions and tool life.

Responsibilities include following EHS rules, producing parts per print, measuring with calipers/micrometers, and maintaining tools. Teamwork and attention to detail are essential in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn and understand basic machine operation.
• Focus and attention to detail while prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Ability to learn to use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
• Learn processes for determining and regulating speed and feed rates of machines.
• Team-oriented communication within a workplace.
• Ability to recognize defects and escalate to management.
• Ability to document measurements clearly when required.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Follow all EHS rules and regulations.
• Produce parts per print requirements using various machinery.
• Measure part dimensions with calipers, micrometers, or other devices.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good, clean condition to maximize tool life.
• Perform safety checks on every machine and keep area clean.
• Other duties as assigned, including special processes.
