Job summary

Qualifications

• Learn and understand intermediate machine operations.
• Pay close attention to detail while managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
• Learn to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Learn the process for determining and regulating machine speeds and feeds.
• Work and communicate effectively within a team.
• Recognize defects and out-of-tolerance measurements and escalate.
• Document measurements and criteria legibly.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Follows all EHS rules and regulations.
• Produces parts according to print requirements and tooling/fixtures using various machines.
• Measures part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, or other tools.
• Ensures parts meet Greenbrier Rail Services and AAR specifications.
• Maintains tools and equipment in good, clean condition to maximize tool life.
• Performs safety checks on every machine and keeps area clean and organized.
• Monitors machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Other duties as assigned, including special processes.
