Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Machine Operator in Springfield, MO to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. The role requires applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures to build, assemble, or rebuild machinery used in transportation, manufacturing or wastewater treatment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Assembly and CNC machining experience preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, and maintenance.
• Strong math skills and measurement accuracy.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers and calipers.
• Create, utilize and improve Standard Work sheets for documentation.
• Participate in the 5 Why Process for real-time problem solving.
• Align and secure fixtures, tools, and materials on machines.
• Machine parts to specifications using machine tools.
