Job summary

Allegion plc is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run production machinery, perform quality checks, and maintain accurate production records. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to procedures in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with hand and power tools, basic measuring devices, and PPE while following detailed setup instructions. Opportunities exist for cross-training and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with machining tools and safety procedures.
• Able to use basic measuring tools.
• Willing to learn and adapt to evolving processes.
• Ability to work in a team and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production machinery following procedures.
• Load/unload parts, attach components, and use hand tools.
• Perform basic equipment checks to ensure operability.
• Follow step-by-step machine setup instructions.
• Conduct routine quality inspections with basic measurement tools.
• Identify defective parts for supervisor review.
• Maintain records of production counts and defects.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Collaborate with team, supervisors, engineers, and QA to improve processes.
• Keep workspace clean and assist with cross-training and overtime as needed.
• Report issues clearly in writing and verbally.
• Other duties as assigned.
