Job summary

  • Follow step-by-step machine setup and operation procedures.
  • Perform routine quality inspections using basic measurement tools.
  • Identify and segregate defective parts for supervisor review.
  • Maintain accurate production counts and defect reports.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE.
  • Collaborate with team, engineers and quality control to improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and support cross-training and overtime as needed.
  • Report issues in writing and communicate updates clearly.

Machine Operator

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining production machinery to manufacture components and products that meet quality and safety standards. Operators conduct quality inspections, adhere to safety protocols, maintain accurate production documentation, and collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

What You Will Do
  • Set up and operate basic production machinery following detailed instructions and established procedures.
  • Perform repetitive tasks such as loading/unloading parts on machines, attaching components, and operating hand tools.
  • Conduct basic equipment checks to ensure machinery and tools are operational.
  • Follow step-by-step instructions for machine setup and operation.
  • Perform routine quality inspections using basic measurement tools. (e.g., rulers, tape measures).
  • Identify and segregate defective parts for supervisor review.
  • Maintain accurate records of production counts and defect reports.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Perform basic equipment checks (e.g., ensuring tools are operational).
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers and quality control to address challenges and improve processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and assist with cross-training and overtime as needed.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to report issues and provide updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You Need To Succeed
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with machining techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to use machining equipment, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively.
  • Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.
  • Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
  • Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands.
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
