Oldcastle APG in Georgia Masonry Supply seeks a dependable Machine Operator to run plant machinery and a sit-down forklift, following safety rules to produce quality precast products for customers across North America. This role emphasizes accuracy, timely setup, and a commitment to housekeeping.

You will read job specifications, move pallets, inspect output for defects, perform routine maintenance, and assist teammates to meet daily deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Forklift experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Safely operate forklift to move completed pallets and load pallets onto vehicles.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and good housekeeping.
• Unload and stack material using lifting device.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths as per scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or malfunctions.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance and ensure quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Fill in when additional help is needed.
