Job summary

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, seeks a skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing shop. This position is on the first shift, 6:00am-4:30pm with overtime as necessary. Training starts in High Point, NC and will transition to our Asheboro, NC facility when ready.

You will support CNC operators and supervisors, manage parts packages, read blueprints, and assist with preventative maintenance while adhering to QA-QC standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification is a plus.
• Reading and speaking proficiency in English or Spanish required.
• Previous machine operator experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Create nested parts packages and upload them to equipment on the production floor.
• Ensure parts packages are organized and released per schedule.
• Manage incoming material inventory spreadsheet.
• Support CNC operators and production supervisors.
• Assist operators and maintenance staff with preventative maintenance or repairs.
• Follow QA-QC standards and procedures.
• Learn software required for each machine (Pro-Cam, Advanced Steel).
• Position work pieces onto tables or fixtures; operate cranes as needed.
• Set amperage and gas parameters according to material and job data.
• Strike arc and guide electrode to cut through metal; trim edges.
