Job summary

Catawba Valley Staffing in Hickory, NC is seeking experienced Machine Operators for a climate-controlled facility. This position offers 1st shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm), 2nd shift (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm), and 3rd shift (11:00 pm to 7:00 am) to accommodate different schedules.

Responsibilities include prep work, sanding, grit blasting, and taping parts, plus operating coats, ovens, conveyors, and related equipment. Candidates must lift up to 50 lbs and wear steel-toe shoes with uniforms.

Qualifications

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work with steel-toe shoes and uniforms.
• Will be responsible for prep work, sanding, grit blasting, and taping parts as well as operating coats, oven, conveying, and grit blasting equipment.
• Must have data entry skills and work with calibrated instruments and perform critical measurements.
