Job summary

The Machine Operator I position at O'Neal Manufacturing Services involves safely operating and maintaining a variety of production machines in a shop setting. You will set up equipment, monitor performance, adjust tooling, and work to ensure safe, high-quality output across multiple machine types.

Hours include 1st shift (Mon-Thurs 5:00am-3:30pm) and 2nd shift (Mon-Thurs 3:30pm-2:00am) with a $4/hr shift differential once training is completed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools (hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder).
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers).
• Ability to convert measurements between fractions/decimals and metric/imperial.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines, adjust tooling, guides, jigs, and fixtures.
• Operate a range of machines including angle lines, bevellers, saws, shears, burners, laser cutters, presses, welders, lathes and more.
• Follow safety policies and ensure high quality outputs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and work under supervision.
• Read and interpret simple blueprints and use measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
