Job summary

O'Neal Industries is seeking a maintenance technician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and electrical systems. The role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills, including work with CNC equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, rigging, and PLC/VFD systems.

The position is physically demanding in an industrial setting with a Monday–Thursday first shift for training and overtime on Fridays; second shift offers a $4/hr differential and weekly

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for repairs and diagnostics of processing equipment (CNC, material handling, presses, lifting devices).
• Mechanical knowledge is required.
• Self-starter who can follow directions.
• Laser alignment and vibration monitoring knowledge is required.
• Predictive/preventive maintenance and pipefitting knowledge.
• Welding and safe use of shop tools.
• Able to access ladders, scaffolds, and roofs safely.
• Experience with VFD programming and PLC troubleshooting.
• Ability to test electrical systems and circuits.
• Must be able to lift 20–50 lbs. repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to workplace safety.
• Repair and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment in an industrial environment.
• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring and fixtures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems with test equipment.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or components.
• Layout and balance equipment; perform rigging and safety-related functions.
• Fabricate mechanical parts from various steels.
• Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes.
• Support safety and quality programs; follow processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
