Job summary

Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to operate production equipment including punch presses, lasers, CNC mills, and other machinery in Des Moines, Iowa.

You will load materials, follow blueprints, perform first-piece inspections, and run quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications. The role requires teamwork, safety awareness, and the ability to maintain organized workstations in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and measurement tools.
• Experience with quality checks and first-piece inspection procedures.
• Knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
• Ability to stop production or halt shipments when nonconforming parts are detected.
• Strong teamwork and effective communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment following 6S procedures.
• Sand and deburr parts.
• Support environmental policy with process improvements to reduce waste.
• Tend to machines and products to ensure quality.
• Complete daily machine check sheets and production logs.
• Perform frequent quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
