Job summary

Engineering-Services- in Dyersville, IA is seeking a Machine Operator 2 who can plan and produce machine parts with minimal supervision. You will set up tools, operate NC machines, read drawings, and verify parts to spec.

Responsibilities include loading materials, changing fixtures, monitoring performance, and performing basic maintenance. Mentoring new employees and maintaining a safe, clean work area are also expected.

Qualifications

• One year of machine operation preferred.
• Able to read blueprints and use a tape measure.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and general shop safety.
• Able to read drawings and interpret machining instructions.
• Good math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Set up tools, machines, fixtures, and safety devices for production.
• Operate NC/ CNC machines, band saws, drills, presses, and related equipment.
• Load/unload material and change fixtures as needed.
• Read prints and verify settings with first articles and gauging.
• Monitor feeds and speeds and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Mentor and assist train new employees and maintain a clean work area.
