Job summary

Hobson & Motzer, now part of Vantedge Medical, seeks a Machine Operator for on-site 1st shift in the Wallingford/Durham area. You will safely operate assembly and finishing machinery, follow work instructions, and help maintain traceability and quality.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic math and good communication. Manufacturing experience is helpful; emphasis on 6S and PPE ensures a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Technical School Diploma, or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions (MOI’s, Work Instructions, etc.).
• Able to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate machining equipment such as air presses, milling and drilling machines, pad printers, laser welders and cutters per MOI’s/Work Instructions.
• Perform prepacking, gauging and visual inspections; verify gauges are correct and calibrated prior to starting operations.
• Ensure product ID and traceability is maintained by completing required paperwork.
• Enter labor hours in MES; monitor time and attendance weekly.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following 6S standards.
• Follow all H&M procedures and PPE requirements.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement activities, including the Idea System.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
