Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a production operator in Grayslake, IL to produce parts on schedule and meet quality requirements. You will set up and operate machines, read BOMs and drawings, and report discrepancies to the Cell Lead.

Work with Quality to inspect products and ensure they meet customer specifications while maintaining a clean, safe work area. Required basic computer skills and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Excel.
• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate manufacturing equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Knowledge of various equipment such as air and power tools.
• Preferred but not required: micrometers, calipers, rulers, tape measures and gauges.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Read BOMs and blueprints to ensure correct parts.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on discrepancies in drawings or BOM.
• Work with Quality to inspect during production and verify specs.
• Operate air and power tools as needed.
• Maintain productivity to meet or exceed standards.
• Follow safety rules and keep area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
