Job summary

TE Connectivity in Grayslake, IL, is seeking a Machine Operator I / Packer for 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm, Mon-Fri). You will set up and operate machines, read BOMs and blueprints, and ensure quality during production.

The role requires 2+ years of machine operation experience, math and computer skills (Excel), and the ability to work independently. Safety and accuracy are essential in this shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two or more years of experience as a machine operator.
• Aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computers (Excel).
• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Read and understand BOMs and blueprints.
• Communicate with Cell Lead about discrepancies.
• Conduct inspections with Quality during production.
• Operate air and power tools as needed.
• Maintain productivity and follow safety rules.
• Keep tools and area organized; perform other duties as assigned.
