Qualifications

• Able to perform strenuous, physically demanding tasks.
• Follow written or verbal instructions from supervisors.
• Explain problems clearly and work with others to keep operations running.
• Work with limited supervision and in an industrial environment.
• Understand basic math and read gauges or indicators.
• Perform routine maintenance and assess when servicing is needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain machine centers in accordance with SOPs.
• Ensure lumber is straight and fed one at a time; verify proper position.
• Verify packs are full, stamps and tickets accurate, sizes correct.
• Maintain packs with stacking sticks; keep work area clean.
• Lubricate components as necessary; control input/output and lumber flow.
• Complete production tallies, downtime tallies and daily reports.
• Stop or reset equipment when malfunctions occur; clear jams and report issues.
• Assist maintenance and other operators; participate in action planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
