Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain machine centers per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure lumber is straight and passes through one at a time.
• Verify packs are full, stamps and tickets accurate and sizes correct.
• Ensure packs have stacking sticks in place.
• Clean workstation and surroundings; keep debris-free.
• Lubricate components as necessary.
• Control machine center input/output, lumber flow and speed.
• Complete production tallies, downtime tallies and daily reports.
• Stop or reset equipment when malfunctions occur; clear jams and report to supervisor.
• Assist maintenance personnel and other operators as needed.
• Participate in action planning process.
• All other duties assigned by supervisor.
