Job summary

Westmark Credit Union is seeking a Universal Loan Processor to support the lending process by reviewing loan documentation for accuracy, maintaining records, and providing timely support to branches. The role emphasizes detail, collaboration with the Central Loan Processing team, and adherence to guidelines.

The position focuses on processing consumer and business loans, maintaining accurate files, and calculating payoffs, within a Monday–Friday schedule and standard office environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in consumer or business lending, loan processing, or related financial services role preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately review and process detailed information while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency with personal computers and 10-key calculators.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and effectively use lending and core processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned consumer and business loans for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with lending guidelines, procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Identify missing, incomplete, or inaccurate documentation and obtain corrections or additional information.
• Review loan forms and supporting documentation for consistency and proper completion.
• Apply procedures and directives when reviewing and processing loan documentation; escalate issues as needed.
• Process loan maintenance requests and calculate payoff amounts; maintain loan records.
• Maintain organized, complete loan files and process weekly/monthly reports; ensure regulatory compliance.
