Job summary

Materion is seeking a Leveling Machine Operator in Lincoln, RI to support coil handling, setup, and quality checks. The role requires reading process sheets, calibrating gauges, and ensuring products meet specifications. You will work with precision tools and SAP data entry to support efficient manufacturing.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years of experience in manufacturing preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in metals industrial setting preferred.
• Experience in use of micrometers and other precision measurement tools.
• Previous leveling machine operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle coils from skids, load to payoff, and measure gauge and width with measuring devices.
• Set up the leveling machine by interpreting process sheets, setting parameters, and using lubrication.
• Adjust and correct machine set-ups to reshape products and eliminate defects.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Read production orders, blueprints, and mill schedule to determine setup specifications and product dimensions.
• Monitor speeds with dial indicators and regulate machine mechanisms.
• Collaborate with Scheduling & Maintenance regarding production issues.
• Enter data into the SAP system.
