Job summary

RRD is seeking a Proofreader to review legal documents for grammar and verbiage corrections. The role involves identifying errors, detecting formatting issues, and ensuring proofs align with mark-ups.

You’ll assist with document production and handle confidential information. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in English/Journalism or equivalent experience, with at least one year of proofreading in a legal or corporate setting, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism preferred or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 1 year proofreading experience in a legal, banking or large corporate environment.
• Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct spelling, grammar, and verbiage errors in complex legal documents.
• Detect formatting and compositional errors in documents.
• Check corrected proofs of legal documents against mark-up for comparison and quality assurance.
• Assist the Document Services team with document production and preparation as needed.
• Handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.
• Communicate with manager and client on job or deadline issues.
