Job summary

Salford Group in Georgia is seeking a Laser Programmer & Operator/Nester to program, set up, and run laser machines to produce precision parts. You will work from blueprints and CAD/CAM files, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
Technical degree or CNC programming certification is preferred.
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Operator.

Responsibilities

Develop and modify laser table programs using G-code, CAD/CAM software or nesting software.
Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to create precise programs.
Set up Laser table machines, including installing tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
Ensure machines are calibrated and adjusted for optimal performance.
Perform regular inspections of parts using precision measuring tools.
Monitor machining and cutting processes to maintain quality, troubleshoot issues, and report discrepancies.
Program laser table machines by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; set up tool registers and offsets.
Upload and download programs to the CNC and edit programs.
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of laser tables; assist in troubleshooting.
