Spartan Mowers in Batesville, AR is hiring a Laser Operator. You will fabricate parts from sheet metal using a computer-programmed laser, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with drawings and specs.

You will set up and run machines, follow safety and quality procedures, read blueprints, and collaborate with programmers to verify tooling and programs. High attention to detail and physical capability are required.

Qualifications

• Prior flat laser experience is required.
• Strong attention to detail and precision. reading blueprints.
• Strong communication both verbal and written; safety practices.
• Team player with good organizational skills.
• Ability to lift or move heavy products.

Responsibilities

• Operate a laser to fabricate parts from sheet metal per drawings and specs.
• Follow safety and quality procedures at all times.
• Set up and operate machines to dimension tolerances.
• Use fixtures and tools to align and secure parts for machining.
• Work with programmers to prove out new tapes and validate tooling.
• Troubleshoot tooling and setup issues to maintain quality.
• Maintain tolerances per machine capability and inspect as needed.
• Cross-train on other CNC machines as required.
