Job summary

Modineer is seeking a Laser Operator for the 1st shift in Elkhart, IN. This full-time role works in a fabrication/metal shop setting, focusing on machine setup, production work, and safety compliance to keep operations efficient.

Responsibilities include training peers, making problem-solving suggestions, performing quality checks, packaging parts, handling materials, reading work instructions, and using hand tools with PPE. Ability to read calipers and micrometers is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to use small hand-held tools, grinders, sanders, etc.
• Must be able to accurately complete all required Modineer production system documentation such as production reports, inspection reports, etc.
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Ability to read calipers, digital micrometers and indicators is a plus, but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up of equipment, perform production work, help instruct and train personnel within the department or as instructed.
• Make suggestions to help resolve problems.
• Ensure all quality, quantity, and safety standards are met and/or exceeded.
• Perform quality checks per requirements.
• Package parts.
• Perform material handling functions.
• Read and understand work instructions
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Handle/lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis
• Use small hand-held tools to make minor adjustments to parts
• Read and understand measurement devices
• Perform other associated job duties as needed
