Job summary

NyproMold is seeking a Laser Engraving Operator to set up, operate, and maintain laser engraving equipment for marking precision components. You will interpret engineering drawings, load parts in fixtures, and ensure engravings meet customer specifications in a clean, safe environment.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently in a precision manufacturing setting with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn laser engraving software.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings and understand dimensions and part orientation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining established quality and productivity standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser engraving equipment to mark, etch, and identify precision components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Review work orders, engineering drawings, specifications, and engraving requirements prior to beginning work.
• Load and position parts accurately in fixtures to ensure proper engraving location and orientation.
• Select, create, and/or modify laser engraving programs based on job requirements.
• Inspect completed work to ensure markings meet drawing and customer requirements.
• Use basic measuring and inspection equipment as required to verify part and engraving locations.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Follow established manufacturing procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel to resolve engraving or documentation issues.
• Support continuous improvement efforts related to quality, productivity, and process efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
