Job summary

Omni Specialty Packaging is seeking a dedicated Quality Label Inspector in Shreveport, LA. The role focuses on inspecting, verifying, receiving, staging, and maintaining accurate inventory of product labels used in lubricant and oil manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing, packaging, inventory control, or quality inspection preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably IFS, is a plus.
• Ability to work all three shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, proof, and verify incoming labels against approved specifications, PO, and quality standards.
• Verify label accuracy including product names, part numbers, container sizes, barcodes, and regulatory information.
• Receive labels and record inventory transactions in the IFS system.
• Stage and organize labels for upcoming production runs per production schedules.
• Perform routine cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Identify and report damaged, defective, incorrect, or nonconforming labels.
• Assist production lines with labeling concerns to minimize downtime and quality issues.
• Communicate labeling discrepancies and inventory concerns to leadership.
• Identify, segregate, and dispose of obsolete or damaged labels per procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and inspection documentation.
• Ensure labels are stored, organized, and available for production.
• Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
