Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Cranbury, NJ. The role operates production machinery, performs inspections, finishes labels, and records production data. It requires basic math, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read work instructions in English.

You'll work on Slitter, Seamer, Inspection Table, and Cutter, with emphasis on safety and quality. The position is on-site with potential overtime to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions.
• Basic math for measurements and counting.
• Ability to operate hand tools safely.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and automated inspection of printed products to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Carry out finishing operations to complete rolls of labels and prepare them for packaging and shipment.
• Operate production equipment including Slitter, Seamer, Inspection Table, and Cutter in a safe and efficient manner.
• Record results of operations, inspections, and production counts on designated forms and systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Monitor machine performance, identify basic mechanical issues, and communicate any problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Use basic hand tools, rulers, and calculators to complete measurements, adjustments, and production-related tasks.
• Follow established manufacturing processes, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members and interface professionally with other departments to support smooth production flow.
• Manage self-directed tasks, prioritize work effectively, and maintain organized work areas.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support overall production and operational needs.
• Work normal 2nd shift hours and overtime as required to meet production schedules.
