Job summary

ALS is a global leader in testing and data-driven insights, seeking a Sample Preparation Technician (P2) to prepare client samples for analysis in our labs. You will work in the Sample Preparation Department, following safety policies and contributing to accurate, timely analyses.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to handle hot/dusty environments, lift up to 50 lbs, and work independently or as part of a team while maintaining production logs and clean workspaces.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment.
• Manual dexterity for repetitive tasks.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; assistance may be required.
• Desk work with periodic sedentary responsibilities.
• Be cleanly-shaven to wear protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ringing, sieving, crushing, and splitting under supervision.
• Loading and unloading drying ovens under supervision.
• Maintain production logs.
• General cleaning duties for basic lab cleanliness.
• May assist with layout duties/tasks.
• Inspecting equipment and inform senior employee if adjustment is required.
• Observe safety regulations and comply with ALS policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
