Qualifications

• 3+ months specimen processing or lab experience preferred.
• Able to handle biological specimens and maintain safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Introduce and prepare biological specimens for processing.
• Open specimens and pour into secondary containers for analysis.
• Verify patient demographics match requisition forms.
• Enter patient information into the computer system for tracking.
• Meet production metrics and quality targets for timely results.
• Pack and ship specimens to testing facilities when needed.
• Properly prepare, store, and dispose of excess samples and waste.
• Operate automated instrumentation under supervision as required.
