Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Laboratory Cleaning Mechanic for the 2nd shift to support the LASSO II contract at Kennedy Space Center. The role involves precision chemical cleaning, refurbishing and passivation of aerospace fluid systems and components, with decontamination and testing activities performed in a cleanroom environment on-site at KSC.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 1+ year experience in precision cleaning of fluid systems, plus the ability to read specifications and use

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Experience with precision cleaning of fluid systems or components preferred.
• Ability to interpret drawings and procedures and use cleanroom tools and measuring/testing instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision chemical cleaning, refurbishment, decontamination and passivation of fluid systems and components.
• Safely perform all work in accordance with laboratory practices and local policies.
• Complete tasks as directed to support mission requirements at Kennedy Space Center.
