Job summary

rms, a Cretex Medical company, is seeking a Machinist Assistant/Kitter to assemble toolboxes and manage the kitting process on the 1st shift (Mon-Thu 5:00am-3:00pm) in Minnesota. You will prepare setup sheets, records, and inventory for jobs on the manufacturing floor, ensuring accurate paperwork and tooling readiness.

The role requires a high school diploma, about one year in manufacturing, and ability to read blueprints and understand production operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble tooling boxes and all paperwork for jobs running on the manufacturing floor
• Manage the Kitting process: part programs, set up sheets, records, and inventory
• Assemble tooling boxes per the set-up sheet
• Update documentation throughout the process- including before, during, and after the job is completed
• Inspect tools, new and returned, using a microscope and other inspection equipment
• Responsible for inventory of tools and resolving shortage issues and discrepancies
• Maintain daily logs and reports necessary to the kitting procedure
• Maintain an organized work area (5S)
• Communicate with the tool crib, leadership, and production regarding kitting needs and the availability of tools and materials
• Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
• Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
• Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
• Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
• Participate in required company meetings
• Maintain an organized work area (5S)
• Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
• Complete all other work duties as assigned
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
