Job summary

Linked, LLC is seeking an experienced Jig Grinder for precision grinding on close-tolerance tooling and components. The role requires hands-on Jig Grinding experience and the ability to work to extremely tight tolerances while inspecting finished parts.

Additional backgrounds in tool & die, mold making, aerospace/aircraft, precision machine shops, automotive, or service/repair are encouraged. 1st shift, contract-to-hire arrangement, pay $28–$33/hour based on skill and background.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on Jig Grinding experience.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and precision dimensions.
• Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Ability to use micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to set up and operate jig grinding equipment independently.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience in a tool & die, mold, aerospace/aircraft, precision machine shop, automotive, or service environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate jig grinding equipment.
• Perform precision grinding of holes, bores, contours, and other close-tolerance features.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy.
• Perform in-process and final inspections.
• Grind components to exact specifications and required finishes.
• Identify dimensional issues and make appropriate corrections.
• Maintain grinding equipment and a clean, organized work area.
• Work closely with machinists, toolmakers, mold makers, and engineering personnel.
