Pinewood Tool Corp is seeking a Precision Grinder for first shift in Wisconsin. You will perform surface and OD grinding on tooling and components requiring tight tolerances, flats, and finishes to print specs.

Ideal candidates have over 10 years of grinding experience, strong GD&T skills, and a background in toolrooms or short-run shops. Join a hands-on team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of precision grinding in toolrooms or short-run shops.
• Hands-on with precision hand grinders, spin fixtures and wet grinders.
• Proven ability to hold tight tolerances (flatness, parallelism, concentricity, runout).
• Strong wheel selection and dressing across materials and finishes.
• Solid blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
• Comfort with standard metrology: micrometers, indicators, height gauges, surface plates.

Responsibilities

• Surface grinding to hold flatness and parallelism.
• OD grinding to hold concentricity and runout.
• Fine surface-finish control to print spec.
• Hold tolerances to .0001″.
• Set up jobs, select and dress wheels, inspect in-process.
• Machine from blueprints applying GD&T.
• Take ownership of work and stand behind results.
