Job summary

New Way Trucks in Scranton, IA, is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control & Receiving Specialist to join the team. You will receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, enter transactions in the ERP, and organize stock locations.

Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, performing cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, coordinating with purchasing, production, shipping, quality, and vendors, and maintaining clean, safe receiving areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when counting, recording, labeling, and entering inventory information.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other receiving documentation.
• Enter receiving and inventory transactions accurately into the company’s ERP or warehouse management system.
• Label, organize, stage, and store materials to support put-away, picking, cycle counting, and production needs.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies between system records and physical stock.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, shipping, quality, and vendors to resolve receiving or inventory concerns.
