Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Inspector - Level 2/3 at Elkton, Maryland to perform mechanical or electronic inspections on components and assemblies. The role includes first article and in-process inspections, defect checks, and the creation of inspection reports using drawings and inspection plans.

Proficiency with CMM and PC-DMIS is required. Training on Second Shift with some First Shift work is expected, and ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to support Second Shift schedule and training on First Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical or electronic inspection on manufactured/purchased components and assemblies.
• Visually inspect for defects; verify parts meet specifications.
• Create inspection reports from drawings or inspection plans.
• Perform first article inspections from the Machine Shop and in-process inspections.
• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using PC-DMIS software.
• Be flexible in work skills and daily tasks assigned.
