Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–4 years industrial painting experience.
• Basic English reading skills to follow directions and read product specifications.
• Thorough knowledge of surface preparation to ensure proper coating adhesion.
• Familiar with metal abrasive treatments such as media-blasting, chemical etching, degreasers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Prep substrate for paint by mechanical etch (sand/media blasting) and chemical etching, then force dry the substrate.
• Prepare paints to be used.
• Use instrumentation to measure painting parameters to meet OEM specifications.
• Prioritize work as needed.
• Perform Power-Wash and other pre-painting activities on parts before painting/fabrication.
• Apply a variety of industrial coatings to fabricated metal products.
