Job summary

Gibraltar Fabrication, LLC is seeking an Industrial Painter / Coatings Applicator to support protective coatings on large fabricated steel assemblies. You will prepare surfaces, apply primers and topcoats, and operate airless spray equipment while following coating specifications.

This role requires 2+ years of painting experience, a high school diploma, and a safety-focused, detail-oriented mindset; U.S. work eligibility required. Training in marine foam and polyurea waterproofing is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in industrial painting or coatings.
• Experience with airless spray systems and coating applications.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and prioritize safety.
• Detail oriented with strong quality-control mindset.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare steel surfaces via cleaning, grinding, blasting, coordination and masking.
• Apply industrial coatings including primers and topcoats.
• Set up and operate airless spray equipment and coating tools.
• Mix coatings to proper ratios and maintain viscosity.
• Perform wet film thickness checks and coating inspections.
• Read shop drawings and follow coating specifications.
• Maintain coating materials, equipment, and work areas.
• Identify coating defects or material issues and report to supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
