Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with machine tools or mechanical assembly preferred.
• Knowledge of safety protocols highly desired.
• Apprenticeship or vocational training is a plus.
• Experience with machine tools and industrial machines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.
• Calculate dimensions or tolerances with micrometers or dial calipers.
• Review drawings and blueprints for accurate production.
• Set up and operate basic or specialized machine tools.
• Operate welding equipment (stick, MIG, TIG) as required.
• Diagnose tool malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean workstation and document quality issues.
• Design fixtures, tooling or experimental parts as needed.
