Job summary

Precise Tool & Manufacturing Inc. in Rochester, NY seeks a Quality Control In-Process Inspector to ensure production parts are inspected by machine operators per IPR and QCR standards.

Travel throughout the shop to verify customer quality requirements are met and report findings to the Quality team. Under the supervision of the Quality Director, you will audit ongoing jobs, assist machinists with measurements, and operate CMM equipment for auditing purposes while maintaining the voice of the

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 5+ years in quality/metal manufacturing preferred.
• Experience auditing and inspecting parts per IPR and QCR.
• Knowledge of AS9100D quality system.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and communication of results.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support the requirements and principles of the Precise Quality Management System and AS9100.
• Auditing of all jobs on the shop floor to ensure IPRs and QCRs are completed as required.
• Assist machinists with measurement of parts per QCR and IPR.
• Understand measurement equipment used to verify parts meet quality requirements/drawings.
• Run pre-programmed parts on the CMM for auditing purposes.
• Maintain integrity as the voice of the customer and communicate results to departments.
