Job summary

PI USA LLC in Shrewsbury, MA is seeking an ID/OD Precision Grinder for a full-time role in the grinding department. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, supporting prototype and low-volume production of high-precision components. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

The candidate should have experience in precision ID/OD grinding with stringent tolerances, read blueprints, and apply lean manufacturing principles. Join a team that produces high-precision motion and automation components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with machining and grinding concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and related work instructions.
• Working knowledge of grinding fundamentals.
• Ability to work self-sufficiently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate cylindrical grinding to produce precision components.
• Own precision ID/OD grinding using Studer grinders.
• Convert prototypes to low-volume production parts with tight tolerances.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and work with minimal supervision.
• Apply 5S and lean principles in ISO 9001 compliant environment.
