Job summary

Paper Machinery Corporation is seeking an experienced Hurco Mill Operator to join our precision machine shop. The role requires proficiency in operating Hurco vertical and horizontal mills in a low-volume, high-precision environment and a solid understanding of GD&T and basic G/M code programming.

Candidates should read and interpret drawings, set up tooling, use calipers and micrometers for inspection, and validate first-piece parts while applying proper fixturing for repeatability.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills in a precision machining environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Conversational G&M code programming.
• Strong measuring and inspection skills.
• Familiarity with fixturing, tooling and shop math.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings with a solid grasp of GD&T.
• Operate vertical and horizontal Hurco CNC mills; change and manage tooling.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Apply proper fixturing and work holding for accuracy and repeatability.
• Debug new programs and perform first-piece validation checks.
• Maintain high-quality standards through machining fundamentals.
