Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; machinist training preferred.
• 5+ years of CNC/manual vertical milling experience.
• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and work holding.
• Able to read blueprints, specifications, and GD&T symbols.
• Experience editing machine programs (G-code or conversational).
• Skilled in precision measurement with micrometers, calipers, height gauges.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Independent, detail-oriented with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual vertical milling machines.
• Install tooling, vises, fixtures, and align workpieces.
• Select speeds, feeds, and tools; perform milling, drilling, tapping, and boring.
• Read blueprints and instructions; verify with GD&T.
• Set tool offsets and coordinates; make basic program edits.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring tools and verify tolerances.
• Maintain quality and efficiency; troubleshoot issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance; keep area clean.
