Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Parsons, KS seeks a Hot Form Press Operator for the C Shift to form and weld metal parts using heavy-duty presses. You will read blueprints and work orders, install dies, and set tooling per internal procedures to ensure quality parts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Ability to operate forklift and hoist equipment safely.
• Familiarity with calipers, height gauges, and scales for measurement.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow work orders, tools, and engineering data.
• Acquire required tooling using internal procedures.
• Operate hydraulic and mechanical presses and install dies.
• Adjust press stroke and tonnage to form parts within spec.
• Operate automated argon system where applicable.
• Check own work and take first part to quality inspection.
• Collect SPC data and maintain parts within control limits.
• Handle hazardous waste responsibly and perform other duties as assigned.
