Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen's Sanford, NC facility is seeking a Heavy Equipment Assembler to join our equipment processing team. You will complete assembly of partially built heavy equipment using hand, electric and air-powered tools, unpackage parts, read manuals and schematics, and ensure proper installation and testing.

Qualifications

• Operate various heavy equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems used in construction/agricultural equipment.
• Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to operate power tools and endure tool vibration.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 15 feet.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Current valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assemble heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools.
• Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts.
• Drive and operate equipment to assist assembly and positioning.
• Read and interpret manuals and schematics for assembly.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and safety regulations.
