Job summary

Bodycote is seeking a Heat Treating Technician based in Grand Rapids, MI to support heat treating operations under the Production Manager's guidance. The role includes loading/unloading furnaces, monitoring equipment, and adhering to shop traveler procedures and customer paperwork.

Multiple levels are available (Entry, Mid, Senior) with increasing responsibility and independence. A strong emphasis on safety and compliance is required in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; ITAR compliance requires US citizenship or permanent resident status.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; may require overtime or any shift, including weekends.
• Must be able to obtain forklift operation certification and work in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work for processing; loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
• Brings unusual problems or irregularities to the supervisor's attention.
• Practices and promotes safety and good housekeeping.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the position.
• Safely cares for customer inventory and prevents loss or damage.
