Qualifications

• Experience in heat treatment or metal hardening in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and process specs.
• Experience with hardness testing methods (Rockwell/Brinell) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor heat treating equipment (furnaces, quench tanks, tempering ovens).
• Follow heat treatment specs to achieve required hardness and metallurgical properties.
• Inspect and test treated parts using hardness testing equipment to verify quality.
• Load/unload parts, fixtures, and baskets safely and efficiently.
• Maintain production logs, batch records, and process documentation.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Adhere to safety protocols when handling high-temperature equipment and hazardous materials.
