Ideal Tridon Group in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Header Operator for 2nd shift to set up and run header, slotter, and thread-roller machines in fastener production. You will configure tooling, load materials, and tune controls to meet specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required with related mechanical experience.
• Experience setting up and operating header, slotter and thread roller machines is preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and use calipers is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure header, slotter, and thread roller machines per specs and adjust tooling.
• Load raw materials and control feeding and cutting for proper dimensions.
• Program and adjust machine controls for speed, feed, and tooling positions.
• Monitor processes to maintain quality and prevent malfunctions.
• Conduct test runs and inspections before full production and adjust as needed.
• Troubleshoot equipment and implement corrective actions to resume production.
• Perform routine maintenance like cleaning and lubrication to prolong life.
• Record production data and ensure compliance with specs and safety protocols.
