Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join the Cable Backplane Product Development team in Valley Green, PA. You will design and maintain mechanisms for high-speed cable backplanes, collaborating with NPI, Machine Design, and SI teams to meet demanding performance and manufacturing goals.

A strong candidate will have hands-on CAD (Creo) and GD&T experience, and an ability to work across engineering disciplines. Travel ~15% is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in electronics.
• MS degree preferred.
• Strong CAD experience with precision engineering.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel ~15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain mechanisms for high-speed cable backplanes.
• Collaborate with NPI and Machine Design teams for high-volume production.
• Support electrical performance through mechanical design.
• Ensure reliability and quality across product life cycles.
• Interface with customers and support sales during projects.
• Work with internal/external suppliers on DFM, prototyping, tooling.
• Provide technical guidance to product marketing and sales.
• Present project updates to upper management as needed.
